Day 1

Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach heading north to Stowe, nestled in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains. 2 nights at the TRAPP FAMILY LODGE, situated on 2500 acres in beautiful Stowe. The lodge is a mountain resort in the European tradition by the von Trapp family that inspired “The Sound of Music”. This unique luxury mountain resort features Austrian-inspired architecture, European-style accommodations, superb mountain views and old world comforts. We begin our visit with a HISTORY TOUR to learn of the von Trapp family’s journey from Austria to Stowe, how Maria’s autobiography inspired the movie that made her an American legend and how a modest farm grew into a world-renowned resort overseen by the family. WELCOME DINNER in the main dining room.

Day 2

Guided tour of Shelburne Farms,a National Historic Landmark, on the shores of Lake Champlain with 1,400 acres of working farm. Pass by historic 19th century buildings, stroll through cottage-style gardens and enjoy some of the most spectacular lake and mountain scenery. Visit the Farm Barn, Education Center, view the cheese making facility, enjoy a cheese tasting. Visit Church Street Marketplace, nestled in the heart of Downtown Burlington. Explore this favorite pedestrian mall with its many restaurants and shops. Return to the lodge for an afternoon at leisure and enjoy tea & cookies in the lounge. Evening tour of the von Trapp Brewery before our Austrian themed dinner in the Bierhall.

Day 3

We’ll say Auf Wiedersehen (good-bye) to our friends at the lodge and stop for a morning tour at the ROCK OF AGES GRANITE QUARRY. Marvel at the incredibly historic, geologic and educational elements of the quarry. Learn about the many famous monuments including the WWII Memorial in Washington DC, statues, and buildings made from Barre granite. Head for home with memories of our 3 days in Vermont’s Green Mountains.

Payment Policy

DEPOSIT: $200 pp due with reservations; FINAL PAYMENT: April 24, 2019

Cancellation Policy

If a passenger cancels from deposit to April 24, 2019 fee of $100.00 pp; April 25, 2019 to May 21, 2019 fee of $250.00 pp; no refunds if canceled on May 22, 2019 or later unless a substitute is provided.

Trip Protection Policy

Trip Protection Coverage strongly recommended. Aon Affinity administers the NTA Travel Protection plan designed specifically for members of the National Tour Association. The Pre-existing medical condition exclusion can be waived by purchasing the Enhanced Plan within 14 days of your deposit or initial payment. Purchase of the plan within this time period also provides eligibility for the Financial Insolvency benefit.
