Day 1
Depart aboard a deluxe motorcoach and head towards beautiful Cape May, NJ… step back in time to the gentility and charm of the Victorian Era. 2 nights at the charming MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE HOTEL dressed in Victorian décor and style and offering modern amenities with OCEANFRONT ROOMS and balconies for everyone…located on the edge of the Historic District and across the street from the ocean and beach. Welcome dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Day 2
This morning we take a guided tour of the 1879 EMLEN PHYSICK ESTATE, Cape May’s Victorian showplace with 15 rooms authentically restored to the original grandeur of the daily life of a Victorian household. Board a TROLLEY for a NARRATED TOUR of the Historic District and its charming architecture. Enjoy lunch on own and shopping at the WASHINGTON STREET MALL, Cape May’s picturesque town square lined with quaint shops & restaurants. Visit to CAPE MAY POINT to view the CAPE MAY POINT LIGHTHOUSE and also to SUNSET BEACH to hunt for the FAMOUS CAPE MAY “DIAMONDS.” Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Day 3
This morning we depart for the Miss Chris Marina CRUISE aboard the CAPE MAY SPIRIT around Cape May Point and up the coastline. Observe dolphins, birds and marine mammals while viewing beautiful Cape May from its surrounding waters while the Captain narrates the lore, legend and ecology of these waters. We head towards home with memories of a lovely visit to Cape May, NJ.
