View the bark-covered guest buildings, the famous main lodge, dining hall and playhouse where the Vanderbilts entertained their guests. Return to Lake Placid to stroll Main Street for dinner on own.
We depart Lake Placid and experience the history of America with a visit to FORT TICONDEROGA, an 18th century fort located on the shores of Lake Champlain and nestled between New York’s Adirondack Mountains and Vermont’s Green Mountains. March to the beat of drums, become immersed in life at the fort and savor the historic gardens. Visit to LAKE GEORGE VILLAGE for lunch and shopping before we head for home with memories of our trip to the Great Adirondack Mountains.
