Go back in time and witness the greatest birth in history as the Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, PA presents "The Miracle of Christmas".
Depart for Lancaster, PA, the heart of Amish Country. COMFORT SUITES LANCASTER, featuring spacious guestrooms, indoor pool, fitness center. Tonight experience an authentic PA Dutch FAMILY STYLE MEAL AT THE HOMESTEAD OF HENRY & LINDA STOLTZFUS. During our visit the Stoltzfus family will serve a wonderfully prepared meal and share stories of Amish life. In addition to breaking bread with the family, we will be able to tour their miniature pony barn, get a first hand look at their wood working shop and of course shop for baked goods, quillows and other handmade items.
Join our local guide for a guided AMISH COUNTRYSIDE TOUR as we drive through the farmlands and learn about their way of life. Time to explore KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE with 42 shops and restaurants jammed full of Lancaster County’s simple pleasures. Early dinner tonight at MILLER’S SMORGASBORD before taking our reserved seats at Sight & Sound Theatre for the “MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS”. Go back in time and witness the greatest birth in history. Be surrounded by the bustling village of Bethlehem as camels, horses, donkeys and villagers pass by. Be transported to the hillside where legions of angels descend upon the shepherds to proclaim, “The Savior is born!” Miracle of Christmas is a family tradition that follows the true biblical account of one of the greatest moments of all time.
This morning we visit Elva Hurst, an extraordinarily talented chalk artist in her Barnyard Art Studio for CHALK TALK. Engage your senses through music, storytelling, and the amazing chalk artistry of a former Old Order Mennonite woman who offers insights into Amish culture with a story that comes to life, and lights up before your eyes. Head for home with warm holiday memories.
