Join us as we travel south to Virginia to view the Virginia International Tattoo. The Tattoo offers an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, and much more.
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach as we head south for 5 days celebrating our great Military. Overnight accommodations at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS CHESTER, VA. Welcome dinner marks our arrival.
This morning we depart to Norfolk, VA for the VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL TATTOO. We begin our Tattoo experience at the HULLABALOO featuring outdoor performances from pipers, dancers, drill teams and drum lines to get you ready for the main show. The Tattoo offers an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, and much more. The 24th annual Tattoo will feature over 1000 performers from eight countries and promises to be one of the most moving ever as they mark the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII and honor the courage and sacrifice of the greatest generation. 3 nights on the beach at the OCEANFRONT INN - our rooms have PRIVATE BALCONIES FACING THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. Dinner tonight in our hotel.
After breakfast we depart for NORFOLK, a city rich in maritime history. Board the VICTORY ROVER for our 2 hour narrated cruise including a BOX LUNCH. Cruise the smooth waters of the Elizabeth River and Hampton Roads Harbor to witness the majesty of the Navy’s aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, guided missile cruises and other vessels that make up the world’s most powerful seagoing armada. Next we visit the NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDENS, a 175 acre garden that is home to 52 distinctive themed gardens, 95 species of birds and 30 kinds of butterflies. Enjoy an overview of the garden on our narrated tram tour before exploring the garden on your own. Dinner at the FREEMASON ABBEY RESTAURANT before returning to Virginia Beach.
Enjoy a leisurely day to stroll the boardwalk, relax by the pool, go souvenir shopping or visit the Aquarium. Farewell dinner tonight.
