Itinerary
Day 1
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach as we head north to Vermont on our holiday getaway. Spend 2 nights at the TRAPP FAMILY LODGE in Stowe with its Austrian alpine style, reflecting the heritage of the von Trapp Family made famous by “The Sound of Music”. Staying at the Trapp Family Lodge in November, when it’s decorated for Christmas, feels like stepping into a cozy, alpine wonderland. The lodge is adorned with twinkling lights, festive garlands, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. We begin our visit by getting into the holiday spirit with a fun ORNAMENT MAKING CLASS. Create your own handcrafted keepsake to take home as a special reminder of your visit followed by afternoon TEA & COOKIES. WELCOME DINNER in the Trapp Family Lodge Bierhall Restaurant.
Day 2
Enjoy a delightful visit to the VERMONT TEDDY BEAR FACTORY, where you’ll take a guided tour to see how these beloved, handcrafted bears are designed, stuffed, and brought to life. Afterward, head into nearby Burlington for time on your own to enjoy lunch and browse the unique shops along Church Street Marketplace, a charming open-air pedestrian street filled with local eateries and boutiques. Return to the lodge to relax and enjoy afternoon tea & cookies followed by a HISTORY TOUR to learn of the von Trapp family’s journey from Austria to Stowe, how Maria’s autobiography inspired the movie that made her an American legend and how a modest farm grew into a world-renowned resort overseen by the family. FAREWELL DINNER in the main dining room.
Day 3
After our buffet breakfast we’ll say Auf Wiedersehen (good-bye) to our friends at the lodge. Visit COLD HOLLOW CIDER MILL to experience a taste of traditional Vermont cider. Explore BEN & JERRY'S factory and learn how their famous ice cream is made, from cow to cone. The tour ends with a delicious tasting of their iconic flavors, making it a sweet experience for all! We depart for home with memories of our holiday getaway in Vermont.
