Join us as we travel south to Virginia to view the Virginia International Tattoo. The Tattoo offers an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, and much more.
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach as we head south for 5 days celebrating our great Military. 2 night stay at the COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT, Woodbridge, VA in Prince William County. Welcome dinner tonight.
This morning we’ll have a guided tour of one of Prince William County’s oldest homes, RIPPON LODGE, dating back to 1747. Explore beautifully restored rooms, learn about the families who lived there, and discover the site’s rich colonial, Revolutionary, and Civil War history. Visit the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE MARINE CORPS, a lasting tribute to the U.S. Marines. View “We, the Marines” a film showing the experience of becoming a Marine. Visit the QUANTICO NATIONAL CEMETERY, where our nation’s veterans are remembered. Have the honor of helping the MISSING IN AMERICA PROJECT, an organization that aims to find, identify and inter unclaimed remains of fallen veterans. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by participating in placing flags at the graves of these previously forgotten heroes. Dinner at local restaurant.
This morning we depart to Norfolk, VA for the VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL TATTOO. We begin our Tattoo experience at the HULLABALOO featuring outdoor performances from pipers, dancers, drill teams and drum lines to get you ready for the main show. The Tattoo offers an astounding display of inspirational military music, majestic massed pipes and drums, show stopping drill team maneuvers, colorful and elegant dancers, and much more. 2 nights on Virginia Beach at the HOLIDAY INN OCEANSIDE - our rooms have PRIVATE BALCONIES FACING THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. Dinner tonight in our hotel.
Enjoy a visit to one of the nation’s premier botanical gardens, the NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN, featuring more than 175 acres of breathtaking landscapes, seasonal blooms and peaceful walking paths. Hop aboard our 30 minute tram tour offering an introduction to the garden’s themed gardens and natural habitats and after explore the gardens at your own pace. Afternoon at leisure before our farewell dinner tonight.
